    Robert H. Powell, III Elected President of Franklin-Southampton Bar Association

    Kaufman & Canoles, P.C. is pleased to announce that Robert H. Powell, III has been elected President of the Franklin-Southampton Bar Association. Mr. Powell is of counsel in the firm’s Norfolk office where his practice focuses on trust and estate planning, real estate, and corporate transactions.

    Mr. Powell received his B.S. from Washington & Lee University and his LL.B., cum laude, from the Washington & Lee University School of Law.

    Mr. Powell was elected to a two-year term as President of the Franklin-Southampton Bar Association at the recent annual meeting. In addition, Damian P. Dwyer, a partner at the Carter & Dwyer firm in Boykins, Virginia was elected Secretary/Treasurer at the meeting. The Franklin-Southampton Bar Association is a voluntary organization composed of attorneys living or practicing law in the Franklin Southampton County area.
