With a diverse background in law and public service, Tommy Norment provides strategic guidance to clients navigating complex litigation, real estate, and commercial matters.

Tommy’s extensive legal background, combined with his prior service as a Virginia Senator for the 3rd Senatorial District, brings Kaufman & Canoles clients a unique perspective in their representation.

As Of Counsel in the Litigation practice group, Tommy specializes in civil and criminal litigation, as well as timeshare law, including representation of public officials and their families in high-profile criminal matters. His experience in real estate-related transactions—such as business acquisitions and sales, contract negotiation, and securing land use and zoning permits—enables him to offer clients comprehensive support for their commercial real estate ventures.
