    The Kaufman & Canoles Raleigh office is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Commercial Real Estate  Attorney. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Handle commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and financings, including negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, manage the property evaluation process (including matters of the title and survey), prepare transaction documents, review and negotiate loan documents and manage the closing process
    • Coordinate and direct the review, management and preparation of commercial leasing documentation
    • Review, analyze, prepare, and negotiate agreements for use in retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments including Reciprocal Easement Agreements (REA’s) and Declarations of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&R’s)

    Required Skills:

    • Minimum of five years job experience as a commercial real estate attorney with transactional experience
    • Skilled at meeting deadlines under significant time pressure
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
    • Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently

    Education:

    • Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with an outstanding academic record
    • Admission to the North Carolina Bar in good standing or the ability to waive in
