    Williamsburg Commercial Attorney

    The Kaufman & Canoles Williamsburg office is seeking a highly qualified Commercial Attorney. The successful candidate will have between two and six years of relevant corporate, commercial real estate and/or credit union experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.   

    Responsibilities:

    • Reviewing and summarizing documents for due diligence purposes in connection with mergers and acquisitions transactions.
    • Preparing and reviewing deeds and real property transfer documents.
    • Review and prepare various contracts. 

    Required Skills:

    • Minimum two to six years job experience with corporate, commercial or credit union experience preferred.
    • Skilled at meeting deadlines under significant time pressure.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
    • Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently

    Education:

    • Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with an outstanding academic record.
    • Admission to the Virginia Bar.
    • Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the State of Virginia.
    • During employment, must meet requirement for continuing licensure for law practice; some opportunities for obtaining in-house CLE through Kaufman & Canoles will be available.
