After Successful Beginning, Franchise Mentors Seeking Prospective Franchisors and Offering Free Guidance
Franchise Mentors, a group of six advisors in Hampton Roads and Richmond, recently hosted its successful first program providing a free sit-down consultation to the owner of Cal’z Pizza in Virginia Beach. Cal’z Pizza was selected from a pool of prospective franchisor submissions. Franchise Mentors is currently seeking applicants for its next program which will be held in the Spring of 2008. There are absolutely no fees associated with the services provided by Franchise Mentors.
Ben Herdlein, of Cal’z Pizza, said Franchise Mentors “knew exactly what needed to be done to make the step to the next level and how to achieve it.” He noted Franchise Mentors’ vast experience with franchising and stated, “you have seen what works and what doesn’t work. Just listening to your team’s experiences with different companies clarified a lot of questions that I had about franchising.”
The advisors of Franchise Mentors helped Herdlein recognize that a company must feature something unique and extraordinarily catchy to find its niche in any industry. “The beauty about the meeting was that all of your council was very diverse and knowledgeable in their certain fields. It didn’t matter what question we had — if it be, marketing, financial, or legal — we had the right people in the room to get an accurate answer,” said Herdlein.
Franchise Mentors is searching for the next savvy entrepreneur looking to franchise, but who might need a little help. The counselors will impart knowledge in the areas of law, accounting, marketing, strategic planning and venture capital to help businesses effectively start a franchise.
