October 2025 – Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Helen E. Gehle, Jessica A. Gray and John P. Pittman II have all joined the firm as Associates.

Helen E. Gehle is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group. She received her B.A. from the College of William & Mary and her J.D. from William & Mary Law School. Ms. Gehle will be working in the Norfolk office.

Jessica A. Gray is a member of the firm’s Commercial practice group. She received her B.A. from Spelman College and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Ms. Gray will also be working in the Norfolk office.

John P. Pittman II is a member of the firm’s Commercial practice group as well. He obtained his B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. from Elon University School of Law. Mr. Pittman will be working the firm’s Franklin office and previously served as a Law Clerk for the Virginia 5th Judicial Circuit Court.

Kaufman & Canoles’ Commercial practice group is comprised of educated professionals, who offer practical experience in organizing and structuring business entities, including joint ventures, proprietorships, S corporations, C corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
