What your credit union needs to know about proposed bills and new laws taking effect on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Labor and employment issues continue to dominate legislative agendas in the D.C. Council and Maryland General Assembly. New laws taking effect, and new bills being proposed, will directly impact your credit union.

To help your credit union comply with laws on paid leave, minimum wage and commuter benefits, the MD|DC Credit Union Association, in partnership with Kaufman & Canoles, P.C., is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, February 21 from 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m. Along with guidance on existing laws, presenters will discuss bills introduced to ban salary history disclosure in D.C. and raise the minimum wage in Maryland. The webinar will also include updates on issues impacting credit unions locally and nationally such as ADA website compliance, Remote Capture Deposit and Senator Hatch’s letter to the NCUA.
