In this complimentary virtual presentation, K&C attorneys Joe Houchin, Randy Sparks, and Neil Talegaonkar discussed the details of the three new federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates: the executive order related to federal contractors, OSHA’s regulations for employers with 100+ employees, and the regulations promulgated by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for those facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid. The discussion focused on coverage under the mandates, the legalities and practicalities of implementing such vaccine programs, and any changes to these evolving regulations. The panel also addressed ill-conceived workarounds to those mandates, which may get North Carolina employers into trouble.
