January 2026 – Kaufman & Canoles, P.C. is pleased to announce that JaMonika Williams has joined the firm as Of Counsel on the Credit Union Industry Team.  

Prior to joining Kaufman & Canoles, Ms. Williams served as Federal Regulatory Compliance Counsel for America’s Credit Unions. In addition, she served as the Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Danville and as in-house counsel for a federal credit union. She received her B.A. from the College of William & Mary and her J.D. from Elon University School of Law.

The Credit Union Team at Kaufman & Canoles advises clients on a broad range of consumer compliance matters, National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) requirements, and federal and state regulations affecting credit union service organizations.
