Kaufman & Canoles Names Raymond H. Suttle, Jr. Managing Director of the Firm's Newport News Office

February 2025 - Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Raymond H. Suttle, Jr. has been named the Managing Director of the Firm’s Newport News office, effective February 1, 2025.

Mr. Suttle, who joined the Firm in 2023, is well known in the business community and has served on many Boards including the Newport News Bar Association, Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Oyster Point Rotary Club, Newport News Green Foundation, Peninsula Fine Arts Center, and as a Trustee for Hampton Roads Academy. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from William & Mary Law School.

Philip L. Hatchett, the Newport News office’s Managing Director for many years, has been a strong leader and instrumental in the office’s extraordinary growth and success. Mr. Hatchett will continue to be a critical part of the Firm and the Newport News office, where his practice focuses on business formation and financing, as well as estate planning, tax, and wealth transfer.
