K&C Closes Single Largest Donation of Property for Hope House Foundation

March 2024 - Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that on March 13th, the firm closed a significant transaction for Hope House Foundation, a local non-profit providing support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities exclusively in their own homes or apartments regardless of their level of disability. The transaction involved the transfer of title to 17 condominiums, townhomes, and apartment buildings owned by Elizabeth River Properties to Hope House. This gift represents the single largest donation to Hope House Foundation in the history of the organization and will further their goals to support the local community with affordable housing and assistance for those in need. 

Richard C. Mapp III, a member of firm, remarked, "Our team is incredibly proud to have participated in this transaction and wish to thank Dave Breen and NEXGen Title Agency for their assistance with closing this deal." Mr. Mapp is a Director for Hope House and a member of the Kaufman & Canoles ESOPs & Employee Benefits, Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Alliances, and the Business Taxation practice groups.
