May 2025 - Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce Kristan B. Burch has been elected to serve on the Virginia State Bar Council. This distinguished 81-person governing body represents lawyers throughout the Commonwealth and sets the policies and standards for the Virginia State Bar. This election recognizes Kristan's professional excellence and dedication to advancing the legal profession. Her contributions to the Council will help shape the future of legal practice in Virginia. 

Kristan is a member of the firm’s Litigation Section and Chair of the Government Contracts & Construction Team. Her practice focuses on commercial disputes in the construction industries and government contracting. Kristan appears in state and federal courts, in mediations, and in arbitrations, representing owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and sureties.
