Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Kristan Burch has been named one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2026 Influential Women of Law. This awards program honors outstanding women attorneys and judges for their commitment and excellent work on behalf of the justice system and for their clients. The Class of 2026 was recognized in a celebration on Thursday, February 26 for the differences they are making in their profession, their communities and our commonwealth.
Ms. Burch is a member of Kaufman & Canoles' Norfolk office, the Chair of Government Contracts & Construction, and the Co-Chair of Intellectual Property. With over 25 years of experience, Ms. Burch is a state court and federal court litigator who handles disputes for public and private projects in the construction industries. She also advises clients on trademark and copyright infringement claims and franchise disputes, and she handles general commercial disputes. She earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her J.D. from William & Mary Law School.
