Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Lauren P. Jones has joined the firm’s Norfolk office. 

Ms. Jones is a member of the Healthcare and Litigation practice groups. She received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, her MPH from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

Kaufman & Canoles’ Health Care Group assists clients with a broad range of issues including medical malpractice actions and disciplinary actions by state licensing boards, defense for professional liability insurance companies, hospitals, and physicians. The team has experience in litigating criminal and civil cases relating, among other things, to Medicare fraud and abuse, reimbursement disputes and representation of medical staff.

Kaufman & Canoles’ Litigation practice group trial experience is vast, with an impressive record of success in many trials of extreme complexity before juries and judges, in both federal and state courts. The team is skilled at all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation, and frequently counsel clients on how best to avoid litigation.
