W. Edgar Spivey Inducted as Fellow in the Virginia Law Foundation Class of 2026

Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Edgar Spivey has been inducted as a Fellow in the Virginia Law Foundation to its Class of 2026. This honor is conferred on Virginia lawyers of integrity and character who are outstanding in their profession and their communities. 

Mr. Spivey is a Member of the firm's Norfolk office and his practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, securities disputes, insurance recovery, and mass tort litigation. He has developed a reputation as an aggressive but measured trial lawyer, with noteworthy victories in both state and federal courts as well as in arbitration.

The Fellows induction took place on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Williamsburg, VA. Mr. Spivey joined a group of more than 750 of the best and brightest legal practitioners in Virginia who are committed to the highest ideals of the law and to the concept of citizen-lawyer.
