January 2020 - Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that William R. Van Buren, III, has been re-elected as Chairman of the Firm’s Executive Committee and that Jason R. Davis has been re-elected to serve on the Firm’s Executive Committee.

Mr. Van Buren’s practice includes corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital formation, contract negotiation and health care. His extensive experience also covers public company mergers, private company acquisitions and dispositions, strategic investments, and corporate solutions.

Mr. Davis is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Health Care Practice Group. He represents and advises hospitals, physicians, long term care facilities and other healthcare providers in litigation and regulatory matters such as HIPAA compliance and breach response. He also handles trust and estate litigation matters.

The Executive Committee is charged with the management of the Firm, including overseeing standards for client service, the quality of legal services, professional development, and civic responsibility. Increasingly important is managing change in a rapidly moving business environment--something which Kaufman & Canoles has done very successfully since its founding in 1919.

“Our Firm has had tremendous success over the years, but we couldn’t have achieved it without the concerted efforts of our executive committee, lawyers and staff. I am looking forward to continuing to work with Mr. Davis and the rest of our team to achieve even more ambitious goals for the firm,” said William R. Van Buren, III, Chairman.
