Overview

Rakesh Parikh is Of Counsel in the firm’s Richmond office. He focuses his practice on representing business owners, operators, private equity sponsors, and management teams in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, entity formation, corporate governance, and securities offerings.

Rakesh also advises clients on a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, technology and intellectual property matters, insurance, finance, and general regulatory compliance. His approach is practical and business-minded, with an emphasis on helping clients move deals forward, manage risk, and achieve strategic growth objectives.

Before joining Kaufman & Canoles, Rakesh represented private equity firms and middle-market businesses as outside counsel, served as Senior Counsel for a global insurance company, and acted as General Counsel for a leading national fuel distributor.
