K&C’s Colin McCarthy to Present at HCCA Compliance Institute Alongside Current and Former OIG Officials

Colin McCarthy is joining a current HHS-OIG branch chief and a former OIG attorney this week to present at the 30th Annual Health Care Compliance Association Compliance Institute in Orlando, FL.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Colin will present “How to Use OIG Transparency as a Compliance Advantage: Enforcement Data, Self-Disclosures, and Advisory Opinions” alongside Spencer Turnbull, Chief of the Industry Guidance Branch at HHS-OIG, and Ben Wallfisch of Polsinelli, a former OIG attorney.

Colin’s healthcare practice focuses on advising clients on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, and government enforcement matters. In this session, he will show how compliance officers, in-house counsel, and healthcare executives can mine OIG enforcement data, self-disclosure settlements, and advisory opinions to identify emerging risk trends and build stronger compliance programs.

To support the presentation, Colin developed a custom dashboard that drills into OIG enforcement data to surface actionable compliance intelligence.
