In the second part of this series,  Harvey L. Johnson, Partner of PBMares' Cyber & Control Risk Services Group, Antonina K. McAvoy, Manager of PBMares’ Cyber & Control Risk Services Group, and Nicole J. Harrell, Chair of Kaufman & Canoles' Data Privacy and Security Practice Group, will provide an overview of cyber risk management, data mapping and threat analysis. 

Cyber Series Seminar #3 (Thursday, August 23, 2018):
Risk Management Program (Part 2) – Establishing an incident response and disaster recovery capability. This presentation will dive into Response Planning to provide an overview of producing and testing incident management plans, to include: Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity. This section will also highlight the importance of understanding the potential liabilities that come with a breach and what legal guidance a company can benefit from as they prepare for or respond to a breach.

Additionally, the presentation will highlight the increased demand for cyber insurance. The onslaught of cyber-attacks have companies and vendors pointing the finger at each other regarding responsibility, and insurance carriers are looking for ways to deny claims. This presentation will assist you in understanding key elements of a strong vendor management program, clarify what action steps you need to take to have sufficient cyber insurance coverage and reduce the risk of being denied in the event of a cyber-breach claim.
