Kaufman & Canoles, P.C., is pleased to partner with PBMares, LLP to present the fourth and final of a four-part Cybersecurity series of complimentary breakfast seminar programs focused on data privacy and security. In this final seminar,  Harvey L. Johnson, Partner of PBMares' Cyber & Control Risk Services Group, Antonina K. McAvoy, Manager of PBMares’ Cyber & Control Risk Services Group, and Nicole J. Harrell, Chair of Kaufman & Canoles' Data Privacy and Security Practice Group, will provide an overview of managing vendor cyber security and cyber insurance.

Cyber Series Seminar #4 (Thursday, September 27, 2018):
Vendor Management and Cyber Insurance – This presentation will dive into vendor selection, how to establish a vendor risk management program, and basic security assessments to perform on all key vendors. Additionally, the presentation will highlight the increased demand for cyber insurance. The onslaught of cyber-attacks have companies and vendors pointing the finger at each other regarding responsibility, and insurance carriers are looking for ways to deny claims. This presentation will assist you in understanding key elements of a strong vendor management program, clarify what action steps you need to take to have sufficient cyber insurance coverage and reduce the risk of being denied in the event of a cyber-breach claim.
