September 2021 - Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce Vincent J. Mastracco Jr., Thomas K. Norment Jr., and William R. Van Buren III were selected to Virginia Business Magazine 2021 Power List. Mr. Mastracco is a Member in the Norfolk office of Kaufman & Canoles. As a business attorney, Vince works with clients as they buy, sell and grow their businesses and enter into new markets. Vince brings over 40 years of experience as bond counsel, underwriters counsel, issuers counsel, and borrowers counsel in tax-exempt financing and has been instrumental in assembling many of the most significant commercial developments and public-private partnerships in Hampton Roads.

Mr. Norment is Of Counsel in the Williamsburg office of Kaufman & Canoles. Mr. Norment specializes in civil and criminal litigation, as well as in timeshare law. He has handled complex criminal matters, including representation of public officials and their families. His extensive legal background, combined with serving as Virginia Senator for the 3rd Senatorial District since 1992, brings Kaufman & Canoles clients a unique perspective in their representation. 

Mr. Van Buren is the President and Chairman of Kaufman & Canoles. His commercial law practice includes corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital formation, contract negotiation, and health care. Mr. Van Buren is a past President of The Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia Law Foundation, and he serves on numerous boards in the community.
