Peyton S. Carter
Biography
Peyton is Of Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Strategies, Commercial, and Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Alliances practice groups. Her practice includes advising clients on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing and development, and other general mergers and acquisitions, general business law and commercial transactions. Drawing upon her background as in-house counsel, Peyton is conscientious and efficient in providing assistance to clients on a broad range of legal matters related to real estate transactions and commercial leasing. She also has previous experience handling public finance transactions and general corporate law matters.

- Served as general counsel to a Fortune 100 company advising the business on commercial real estate transactions, including dispositions and commercial leases
- Represented borrowers, issuers, and underwriters in both tax-exempt and taxable governmental, transportation, and 501(c)(3) bond financings

- Represented local governmental bodies on municipal governance and general counsel matters
